With a corporate communication management career spanning nearly three decades, she has worked as a global communication strategist and manager, business writer and editor, leader and consultant. She helped top executives of organizations articulate and deliver visionary strategies to internal and external audiences. In every position she held, she developed strategic plans, hired and developed employees, managed teams, wrote speeches, created materials, selected channels, and measured outcomes for continuous improvement. Now she brings her extensive experience into higher education. As Internship Program Director, Ditewig-Morris partners with organizations and helps undergraduates succeed in internships that provide them professional experience in real-world workplace settings while earning academic credit. She teaches Business Communication and advised a student group that plans professional development activities for their Communication peers. All her students acquire core communication skills in a creative, supportive environment that effectively contextualizes their learning: they learn to navigate successfully in professional discourse communities, to present themselves confidently as individuals and as team members, and to prepare for the competitive work world that awaits. Ditewig-Morris received her B.A. in English & Speech Education from Bradley Universityand her M.A. in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is a certified 6 Sigma Green Belt and Organizational ChangeMaster.
